FUNERAL SERVICES:  11:00 A.M. Monday, December 17, 2018, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel

BURIAL:  Oakwood Cemetery

VISITATION:  4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, December 16, 2018

LUNCH:  Family will have lunch at First Baptist Church of Comanche following the funeral services.

MEMORIALS:  If desired family requests memorials be made to a charity of choice

Marie Spruill, age 82, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018, in Comanche, Texas.

She was born on April 5, 1936, in Pampa, Texas, to Frank Gordon and Gwendolen (Kennedy) Amos.  On November 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert Milton Spruill in Stephenville, Texas.  He preceded her in death on December 9, 2012.  Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was a talented cook an outstanding homemaker, and for many years she worked as a sales clerk at Bills Dollar Store.  In her “spare” time she was an avid reader, loved to fish and loved to go dancing.  Marie was instrumental in starting the Comanche Chapter of Al-anon.  She enjoyed attending Full Gospel Church in Comanche.

She is survived by three sons, Robert E. Spruill and wife Suetta of Comanche, Jerry Spruill and wife Malinda of Lubbock, and Calvin Spruill and wife Shelly of Comanche; two daughters, Debra Kay Harris and husband Ralph of Cedar Creek and Cindy Thomas and husband Doug of Comanche; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Gordon Amos of Austin; aunt, Evelyn Coleman of De Leon; uncles, Junior Kennedy of Stephenville and Jimmy Carl Kennedy of Bowie; numerous nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, John Mark Spruill and wife Mary of Comanche. She was preceded in death by infant son, Michael Dwayne Spruill; and son-in-law, Billy Marett.
