Row Hampton, 43, of Stephenville, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in Fort Worth.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 28that Cowboy Church of Erath County with Chad Monk and Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday evening at Cowboy Church of Erath County. Stephenville Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements for Row.

Row was born on July 21, 1975 in Stephenville to Johnny Wayne and Barbara Richardson Hampton. He graduated from Huckabay High School in 1994. (He attended Vernon College on a rodeo scholarship). He was a member of the Double N Cowboy Church in Dublin, and was a life long resident of Erath County. Row was a Cowboy. Row did things on Row’s own time. He loved the outdoors, especially the ranch, and he loved to fish. (He always made sure to be on the good end of a trade). He proudly lived by the motto “Once a hustler, always a hustler”). 

Row is survived by his mother, Barbara; sisters, (Angie Hampton Yates and J. J. Hampton); brother, Ricky Prince; grandmother, Helen Hampton; uncle, Ronnie Jack Hampton and Rita; nephews, Kason Prince and Marty Yates and girlfriend Taylor Wharton; Trent Walls family; and his dog, Shay.

Row was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Wayne Hampton; paternal grandfather, Johnnie Hampton; brother, Marty Paul Yates; maternal grandparents, Hallie and Woody Richardson.

The Hampton family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Johnny Wayne Hampton Memorial Scholarship.

Visitation

Sunday, January 27th, 2019 6 – 8 p.m. at the Cowboy Church of Erath County located on US 67, north.

Service Information

Monday, January 28th, 2019 2 p.m. at the Cowboy Church of Erath County with burial to follow in the Oak Dale Cemetery.
