Jackets rally for 7-6 win move to 9-0 on season

Stephenville rallied for two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and stayed unbeaten at 9-0 with a 7-6 road win over Magnolia Thursday.
The Jackets got behind early as Magnolia established a 3-0 lead after two innings. The teams knotted things up in the fourth stanza as the Jackets rallied with four runs to make it 4-4.

Stephenville went on top 5-4 in the next inning only to once again fall behind 6-5 headed into the sixth.
The Jackets pounded out 14 total hits and had only one error on defense. Gabe Moore came up with three hits to lead the Jacket batters while Cody Storrs, Derek Gifford, Tyeler Reed, Daniel Luna, and Gage Graham all had a multi-hit game with two pokes each.
Graham drove in two RBI with Gifford, Moore and Reed had one each. Trace Morrison proved to be patient at the plate reaching twice on walks.
Gifford worked four innings on the mound striking out two batters and throwing 46 strikes in 87 total pitches. Caleb Smith worked the end of the game in relief throwing 14 strikes in 20 pitches.
