A graveside service for Clayton will be March 22nd at 2:00 at Lowell Cemetery in Erath County.

Clayton Lee Keever (85), passed away March 21, 2019 in Brownwood, Tx. He was born in Temple, Tx on February 23, 1934. Clayton was raised by his maternal grandparents and lived most of his early life in the Temple and Waco area. In 1973 he purchased land and moved to Gustine. He built his own home in Gustine and took great pride in that accomplishment.   He lived in Gustine until a recent illness required nursing care. As a young man, he went to Coyne Electrical School in Chicago and later opened his own TV repair business in Waco. He also worked many years as a salesman for various wholesale electronic dealers. Clayton had also been a barber for a short time. He was a problem solver who enjoyed fixing things. Clayton is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nelda (Blankenship) Keever of Early, his daughter Kathy Williams and her husband Steve from May, his sister Dorothy Gault of Burleson, and a step-son Rick Parrack and his wife Brenda from Gholson. Clayton and Nelda enjoyed traveling together and were fortunate to have visited 48 states.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Hallie Mae Keever, and his maternal grandparents, David Sherman Whitlow and Mattie Boney Whitlow.
