Bobby Wayne Dale, 92, died on April 3, 2019, in Granbury, Texas.

Internment at Erath Garden of Memories, Stephenville, Texas.

Bobby W. Dale was born in September, 1926 in Silverton, Texas, to John Robert Dale and Sarah Frances “Sallie” Dale. His mother died when he was just past two, and he lived with his half-sister Jewel Dale Graves and her husband, Albert L. Graves, for most of his childhood, attending Stephenville High School. A proud veteran, he entered the Army during WWII in 1944, serving in Europe after training as an anti-tank operator, and then as a guard at the Nuremburg trials, until his discharge in 1946. He then served as an airplane electrician in the U. S. Air Force until 1949, and followed with enlistment as an aviation electrician in the U. S. Naval Reserve, finally retiring in 1986. He was a retired federal civil service employee as well.

 He married Lucile Mae Liechty, and they lived in the Montgomery County, Maryland area for more than 60 years. She died in Silver Spring, MD, in 2011. All three of their sons, John Albert Dale, James Ivan Dale, and William R. Dale, predeceased their parents. Bobby’s elder brother, Leo Rufus Dale, of Jonesboro, AR, also predeceased him. He is survived by his grandsons, Michael R. Dale and Shawn P. Dale, of Falling Waters, West Virginia.
