COMMERCE – Tarleton wrapped up day one of the East Texas Invitational with one NCAA provisional mark and three medals.
Jasmine McQuirter had her best performance of her collegiate career hitting the NCAA provisional mark in the long jump, giving her with the 11th best mark in division II. McQuirter placed first overall with a collegiate best jump of 19′ 5″, which is almost a foot further than her previous best.
In the womens discus throw, Elena Reagan placed second overall with a throw of 137′ 1″. Kristen Kuehler finished fourth with a throw of 133′ 7″, which is a collegiate best.
Marlaina Morgan had her best finish in the pole vault, placing third with a vault of 10′ 8″.
Tarleton will continue day two of the East Texas Invitational tomorrow starting at noon with the women’s shot put.
