SHS State UIL Theatrical Design winners

Emily McLemore and Mindy Pope are excited to announce the entire theatrical design team MEDALED at the State UIL Theatrical Design Competition on April 26th in Round Rock.

“We are so proud of these students and their amazing work,” the teachers said. “They spent almost 8 months working on their pieces and have been rewarded. Their work will be on exhibition for a year as part of the Theatrical Design state winner collection.”

In Set Design, Kacie Everett is the STATE CHAMPION and Peyton Skinner won 3rd place.

In Marketing Design, Lauren Pope is the STATE CHAMPION.

In Hair and Makeup Design, Maeci Ray is the STATE CHAMPION and Marisah Johnson is the State Runnerup.

In Costume Design, Reagan Henry won 3rd place.

And in the Group Design, Courtney McGuire (marketing), Tori Permann (hair & makeup), Shalana Sherwood (costuming) and Callie Wells (set) were the State Runner-up.

When points earned from Theatrical Design were added to points earned by Sierra Hastings (coached by Jennifer Jones and Mindy Pope) for her 5th place state UIL Film, Angels and Demons, Stephenville HS was named 2019 4A Theatre Team Champions!
