SERVICE INFORMATION

The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 13 in the Harvest Hills Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Hico Cemetery.

Sherry Jean Giesecke, born October 7, 1942 in Hico, Texas to parents Lloyd Ables and Irene Wilson, passed away in Hico, Texas May 11, 2019 at age 76. Sherry also known as “Grandma” or “Jean” to friends and family, loved to crocheting, reading her Bible, coffee, birds, planting her flowers. Jean was best known for her baking, her famous rolls, Christmas Candy and pumpkin bread. Jean was also a member of Duffau Baptist Church.

Preceding Jean in death were here parents, husband, Rondy Giesecke, one brother, Jimmy Wayne Ables, and one sister, Joyce Frost.

Surviving Jean are daughter, Beth Rainwater and husband Gary, son, Joe Wagner and wife Kipy, daughter Tammie Stifflemire and husband Glen, grandchildren, Amy Roach and husband Carey, Jenny Ohl, Sommer Owens and husband Danny, Justin Rainwater, Michael Wagner, Jeff Wagner, T.J. Wagner, Scott Wagner, Glenn Earl Stifflemire, and Renee Stifflemire.

Jean is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, two brothers, Don Ables and Buddy Ables and wife Judy.
