The Stephenville duo landed four fish weighing in at 14.89 and had the day’s biggest bass at 6.78, but things cooled off at the wrong time as they were only able to record one fish on Day-2 and they dropped to 46th place overall with a five-fish total of 17.35 pounds.

Still pretty respectable considering there were 282 other teams out looking to win the title which went to Bullard High School Brock Davis and Bryce Nelson. The pair weighed in seven fish totaling 29.29 pounds and caught themselves $15,000 in scholarship money, trophies and the coveted state title rings.

Stephenville had three teams invited to the state tournament with Trevor Easter and Clayton Easter boarding four fish for 11.25 pounds and 97th place while Hunter Mayo and Caden Cowan caught five fish weighing 9.60 pounds.
