MEMORIAL SERVICE:  2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 7, 2019, at East Side Baptist Church.

LUNCH:  Family will have lunch at East Side Baptist Church at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday.

MEMORIALS:  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Legion Post 71, 2501 Spencer Road, Denton, Texas 76205.

Adam Cody Proa, age 40, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019, in Erath County, Texas

He was born on July 10, 1979, in Robert Lee, Texas, to Antonio Proa and Debra Reed.  He was a loving dad to his only daughter, Zelma, and was proud of all her accomplishments.  Cody was very creative.  He was both a Master Chef/Grillmaster and a Master Carpenter.  He was a superior negotiator and liked nothing better than striking a great bargain.  Cody was employed by Rockin’ J Restaurant in Comanche.  He was a Christian.

He is survived by his daughter, Zelma Kay Proa of Gainesville; father and stepmother, Tony and Leanna Proa of Comanche; Mother, Debra Reed of Gainesville; grandmother, Zelma Reed of Abilene; brothers, Anthony Proa and wife Stephanie of Denton, Michael Johnston of Scottsdale, Arizona, and B.J. Phelps and wife Connie of Stephenville; sisters, Jeannie Sisson of Stephenville, Jackie Foster and husband Matt of Illinois, and Paula Montgomery and husband Chris of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
