Services for Travis Livingston, 86, Professor at Tarleton State University for over 30 years, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 6, 2019, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Werth Mays officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Thursday September 5, 2019, at Lacy Funeral Home.

 Travis was born in Cisco, Texas on March 7, 1933 to Jonas and Lucy Livingston. He was married to Jeanette Marie Bone on August 19, 1961 in Abilene, Texas. She preceded him in death August 24, 2007.

 Travis attended the Cowboy Church of Erath County

 Travis was awarded the All Purple Award by TSU sports in 2000 for his continued support of  Tarleton Athletics. He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and hunting. He loved taking care of his yard and puttering around in the garage.

 Travis was survived by his two children, son, Rev. Wayne Livingston, and wife, Mary, of Athens, Texas; and daughter, Angie Bickley, and husband Clark, of Austin, Texas; his sister, Virginia Kennedy, of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Chrysta Naron of Austin, Texas, Janie E. Livingston, of Ft. Worth, Texas, T.J. Livingston, of Austin, Texas, Michael Livingston, of Coppell, Texas, and Eli Naron, of Tsukuba, Japan, as well as several nieces and nephews.
