Robert Duane Godwin, 89, Professor at Tarleton State University, for 42 years, died on Friday, September 6, 2019. He was cremated and services will be held at a later date.
Robert was born in Bern Kansas, on May 22, 1930, to Cleo and Roberta Godwin. He married Leonor Dania, on December 22, 1961, in El Paso, Texas.
Robert was a Mason and an Air Force Veteran that served in WWII.
Robert was survived by his wife, Leonor Godwin, of Stephenville, Texas; his son, Edward Godwin, of Round Rock, Texas; daughter, Marcille Godwin, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; daughter, Holly Stahnke, and husband, Kevin, of Hico, Texas; and five grandchildren, Rainey, Nathaniel, Phillip, Shade, and Magnolia.
