STEPHENVILLE – After sweeping the Bob Gravett Invitational, both Tarleton cross country teams are ranked in this week’s U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South Central Regional Coaches’ poll.

The men moved up three spots to No. 7 after earning a perfect score with 15 points by claiming every spot in the top five placements in last weekend’s meet.

The women enter the poll at No. 10 after being unranked in the preseason poll. They took the top spot at the Bob Gravett Invitational with 33 points, finishing 16 points ahead of the runner-up team.

The Texans are one of three LSC teams in the men’s regional rankings, alongside West Texas A&M (No. 5) and Lubbock Christian (No. 10).

Dallas Baptist (No. 5) is the only other LSC team ranked in the women’s regional poll.

Next up, the Texans will head to Lubbock, Texas to compete at the Texas Tech Invitational on Saturday, September 21st.
