On Tuesday, the students at Gilbert Intermediate School were treated to a visit by several local military veterans.
The veterans shared a lot of information with the students including some of their personal military experiences and taught the kids the importance of honoring our U. S. Constitution, United States flag and our country. The veterans also taught the children about how to fold an American flag and many details and facts related to our wonderful flag.
The veterans who came to the school are Lt. Col. Richard Petronis (Army), MSGT Jimmy Finney (Army), PFC Bruce Delater (Army), A1C Roger Easter (Air Force), LCDR Jim Pack (Navy), Greg Thompson and Burton Smith. Unfortunately, Mr. Smith and Mr. Thompson are not pictured.
