Jevan Bryce Snead

Services for Jevan Snead, 32, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 29, at the Erath County Cowboy Church with Rev. Werth Mayes and Ed Dittfurth officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday, September 28 at the Erath County Cowboy Church.

 Jevan was born in San Angelo, Texas on September 2, 1987 to Jaylon and Jane Snead.

 Jevan was a loving son, brother and uncle. He was a star quarterback for Stephenville High School where he graduated in 2006. Jevan then went to play football in Austin as a UT Longhorn where he earned a letter and more importantly, life-long friends. In 2007, he transferred to Ole Miss and lead his team to two Cotton Bowl victories and earned his degree in Marketing. He later signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. Prior to working in commercial real estate, he excelled in sales in the oil and gas and the medical device industries where he was awarded the Presidents Club award during his career. Jevan was a competitor in everything he did whether it be golfing with friends, pool volleyball with his brother or backyard basketball with his niece. Jevan was humble and treated everyone with kindness and respect from the lunch ladies at school to the President of the University. He always made time for autographs and pictures with children. Jevan touched many lives from California to Mississippi and will be missed by everyone who ever had the opportunity to know him.

 Jevan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eden, Texas.

 Jevan was survived by his parents, Jaylon and Jane Snead, of Stephenville, Texas; his siblings, Jennah (Snead) Walker, and husband, Cody, of Stephenville, Texas; Jayse Snead, of Stephenville, Texas; nephew, Ace Walker; niece, Hayden Walker; nephew, Jet Walker, nephew, Cannon Walker; many teammates and friends.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jevan Snead Memorial Fund at Citizens National Bank in Stephenville located at 2270 W Washington Street or where the funds will be used purchase helmets for Stephenville Football and CTE Research.
