On Friday, Oct. 4, area residents were treated to an evening from a well-established Christian and Country Music artist, Mac Powell. Mac was one of the founding members, lead singer, and front man for the Christian Rock Band, Third Day. Third Day was one of the most popular Christian bands for over two decades. After 25 years, the band finally dispersed (on good terms) so that the band members could pursue different avenues. In early 2018, Mac Powell formed his current band, Mac Powell and the Family Reunion. Mac and the band treated area residents to a show that lasted about two hours. The show was a mix of country songs, gospel songs, rock cover songs and several songs from the band’s new album, Back Again. It is estimated that well over 200 attended the show.
