After the shooting at the Bluebonnet Apartments last Thursday morning, the Stephenville Police Department is looking for Rachel Marie Tuggle, 23, who lived in the apartment where the shooting took place.

According to reports, first responders were dispatched after a 9-1-1 call and upon arrival, officers secured the scene and Stephenville Fire Department personnel treated a male found inside an apartment with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was stabilized and then flown to a Fort Worth hospital where he is in serious but stable condition.

Her family and friends are supporting Tuggle online, commenting that she was a victim of domestic violence and only protecting herself from him.

After further investigation, the Stephenville Police Department has issued a warrant for Tuggle for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said Tuggle was supposed to turn herself in today, but she had not.

Tuggle is approximately 5 feet 2 inches, brown hair, brown eyes. While Tuggle does have a twin, they do not look alike and she is not a suspect in the case. Stephenville PD said the suspect may be in the Granbury area.

Rachel Marie Tuggle, 23, is wanted by Stephenville PD in the shooting on Friday at the Bluebonnet Apartments.

If you have any information on Rachel’s location, contact Erath County Crime Stoppers at 254-965-CASH. If your tip leads to an arrest, you are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
