The Dublin Lions (6-1, 2-0) took on the Eagles from Rio Vista on Friday night at Dublin’s Memorial Stadium and remain undefeated. The Lions won 36-10 and are now tied with Jacksboro at the top of District 6-3A, DII.
After scoring on the first drive of the game, followed by a two-point conversion, the Lions took a commanding 22-7 lead in the first quarter and held onto it throughout the game.
The Lions scored a touchdown in both the second and third quarters, and the defense held the Eagles to only a field goal in the second over the same amount of time.
Friday, October 25, the Lions will visit Jacksboro to face-off against the Tigers (4-3, 2-0) for the lead in district play. Kick-off will be at 7 p.m. in the Tiger Stadium located at 1400 North Main St., Jacksboro, TX 76458.
