Two different storms moved through Erath County overnight, bringing rain showers and high winds that brought down power lines, signs and windows.

The shots below show the Stephenville Fire Station No. 1, the Texas Bank drive-thru on Graham Street, Caste Home Furnishings, Solar Nails, a blown-in overhead door behind Texas Bank, and a neighborhood where downed trees made a mess.

There was glass, plastic, pieces of sheetrock and insulation scattered all over the place.  And, some wood and some limbs.  The sign blew off the Solar Nails building and ended up in front of Edward Jones. And, of course, pieces of sheet metal hanging from the power lines.

Several residents in Stephenville were without power this morning and Stephenville FD along with Oncor crews are working diligently to ensure the safety of everyone, as well as getting the power back on.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, the first part of the week ahead will be sunny with highs in the 70’s through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will see another system moving through the area bringing a chance for storms again Thursday evening and Friday as well as lower temps through the weekend.
