The Stephenville Yellow Jackets (4-4, 1-2) hosted the Brownwood Lions (8-0, 2-0) at Tarleton’s Memorial Stadium this week for the annual Battle of 377. Both head coaches are alumni who have come home to coach. And while Brownwood holds the title overall, the Stephenville faithful were confident going into Friday’s game.
However, the Lions jumped ahead 21-10 early and never let the Jackets catch up. Final score was 38-22 in favor of the Lions.
