(June 13, 1937 – November 13, 2019)
Oneta Jones (NANA), 82, of Stephenville, wife of the late Bill Jones (PaPa), passed away November 13, 2019 due to extreme complications during a scheduled procedure at UT Southwestern Hospital in Dallas.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 18, 2019 at West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will host a visitation from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
We can tell you she lived her life to the fullest and would not have wanted a life with limitations because she always wanted to be giving and helping others. We can also tell you she went to that heavenly peace listening to “good old-fashioned Southern Gospel” as she requested that in the operating room.
Please lift up prayers for her four children, Deena, Kevin, Kay and Linda, as well as their husbands and wife and extended families of 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Nana adored her husband and family and loved her many friends and her church family at Selden Baptist Church.
Oneta also treasured her many friends she had from working 17 years at Safeway and then 20 years at the jewelry counter at JC Penney where she smiled and greeted every customer with her precious spirit and energy.
God has greatly blessed us all. We know that Nana is not in pain or discomfort any longer. Please pray for all of our family.

Update: There will be a chapel service at Stephenville Funeral Home at 2 pm on Monday followed by internment at the West End Cemetery. The visitation is still Sunday night from 6 to 8 pm
