Local high school teams have all bowed out of the state playoffs and The Flash Today staff has a rundown below.
Stephenville Honeybees
The Stephenville Honeybees (34-9, 8-0) beat the Vernon Lady Lions to claim the Area title and faced the #7 Argyle Lady Eagles (34-5, 8-0) Tuesday, November 12, in Weatherford. The Honeybees won the second set and forced the Lady Eagles to four sets, but ultimately couldn’t hold off Argyle who won (25-14, )
Stephenville FAITH Knights
The Stephenville FAITH Knights participated in the 2019 TAIAO State Tournament and won third place in Divison 1.
De Leon Lady ‘Cats
The De Leon Bearcats (5-8, 1-2) had a first-round bye and faced the Miles Lady ‘Dogs (28-9, 10-2) for the Area championship. Unfortunately, Miles won the match in three sets (25-11, 25-14, 25-10).
Dublin Lady Lions
The Dublin Lady Lions (15-10, 8-2) took on the Boyd YellowJackets (26-5, 10-1) on Saturday and fell in three sets (25-16, 25-8, 25-8).

Lingelville Lady ‘Cards
The Lingleville Lady Cardinals (24-4, 13-1) not only won the District Championship but received a first-round bye to advance to the Area playoffs. The Lady ‘Cards had a hard-fought battle but could not defeat Benjamin HS (25-16, 12-1) who won in four sets (26-24, 25-14, 15-25, 25-23).
