STEPHENVILLE – The Tarleton men’s basketball team shook off a pair of shaky performances by returning to true Texan form in a 90-67 rout of Wiley College at Wisdom Gym Saturday afternoon.
Randall Broddie got the offense started quickly with a three ball to put the Texans on top. After Wiley pulled within one, Josh Hawley drained a triple to start a run of seven unanswered points to allow the Texans to pull away at 17-9.
After a Wiley bucket, Tarleton extended its lead even further with a 32-18 run over the rest of the opening half to send the Texans into the locker room with a 49-29 deficit.
