Jimmie Duane Whitehead, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 23, 2019. He was born in Dublin, Texas on December 23, 1939 to his parents, George Whitehead and Lillian (Lowery) Whitehead. He was a graduate of Dublin High School and a member of the Double N Cowboy Church. Jimmie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1963 to 1965. After the military, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Erath County for 44 years.
Jimmie married Anna Lois Garnett on January 1966, in Matador, Texas. Together they raise two children, Dan and D’Ann.

His daughter & son-in-law – D’Ann & Shawn Bradford of Dublin, Texas
His grandchildren – Dixon Whitehead, Billy Brumbelow, Faye Whitehead, Josh Gilbert, Jodi Gilbert, Ryan Below, and Jetti Gilbert
His brother & sister-in-law – Weldon & Mary Ann Whitehead of Dublin, Texas
His sister & brother-in-law – Pam & Dean Davis of Coleman, Texas
And many nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Upper Greens Creek Cemetery on Monday, November 25, at 2 p.m.
