Obituary
Cathy Lynn Echols, 66, of Stephenville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2019, in Fort Worth.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 2nd at Cornerstone Assembly of God with Pastor Ed Dittfurth and Pastor Ken May officiating. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Cathy was born on August 3, 1953 in Gorman to the late Theron and Mary Kathryn Underhill Wilson. She married Arley Gene Echols on July 19, 1975 in Stephenville. Arley preceded her in death on February 16, 2015. Cathy graduated from Stephenville High School in 1971, and attended Tarleton State University where she received her bachelors and master’s degree in Education. She taught elementary school in Tolar for 4 years, and later taught at Chamberlin Elementary in Stephenville for over 26 years. Cathy was a member of the Assembly of God Church, and was a lifelong resident of Stephenville.
Survivors include her son, Michael and wife Alecia Echols of Stephenville; and daughter, Jennifer Lynn and husband Brian Lesley of Stephenville; grandchildren, Audrey Lynn Echols, Emily Lynn Lesley, and Grayson Arley Echols; and a cousin, Troy Edward Holt of Waco.
