Ralph Jaggars, age 90, passed away Saturday December 14, 2019 at Hico Nursing and Rehab in Hico, Texas. Ralph was born in Hico, Texas on June 15, 1929 to Luther and Annie Roberson Jaggars. Ralph married Wanda “Jo” Suitt, spending 60 years together in marriage.

Ralph is survived by sons; Rick and wife Bonnie of Benton, Arkansas, Mick and wife Sandie of Hico, Tim and wife Verna of Hico, daughters; Kathy and husband Johnny Covey of Hico, and Shirleen and husband Carlton “Corky” Glidewell of Hico. Also surviving Ralph are one sister, Wilma and husband Tom Boyd of San Antonio, brother in-law Bob Bennett, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also survived by his best friend, companion and partner, Sunny Snyder.

Ralph made his living and provided for his family in many ways, including working at Barnes and McCullough Lumber Yard for 15 years along with several agricultural endeavors. He was a dairyman at heart, but also raised laying hens, turkey, emus and hogs. Ralph also loved horses, raising registered Quarter Horses for many years. In 2005 after 46 years, he retired from dairying, and raised beef cows to occupy his time. He and his constant companion Sunny, enjoyed many adventures and laughs together during the final 10 years of his long, full life.

Ralph was most proud of his family, and would always help anyone in need. He never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. Ralph will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his generosity, and his never-ending supply of stories. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Service Information

The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, in the Country Oaks Cemetery on Highway 220 in Hico. There will be a celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, at the First Baptist Church in Hico.
