Billie Jean Huddleston, age 89, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020, in Comanche, Texas.

She was born on July 28, 1930, in Comanche County, to John Monroe and Hattie Ann (Haudyshell) Alford. On August 1, 1946, she was united in marriage to Willie Joe “Pete” Huddleston in Rising Star. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2012. Billie was devoted to her family. She was a busy homemaker, a great cook, and a talented seamstress. She spent countless hours making exquisite quilts for her family. Billie was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Huddleston and wife Amy of Sidney; daughter-in-law, Jeanie Huddleston of Cross Plains; grandsons: Jason Huddleston, of Sidney, Scott Huddleston and wife Sigrid of Sidney, and Casey Huddleston and wife Tiffani of Cross Plains; granddaughters: Dezni Southern and husband David of Colorado, Heather Zorn and husband James of Abilene, Jonna Acosta and husband Noe of Brownwood; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Schlemer of Fort Worth; sisters-in-law, June Alford of North Richland Hills, May Bell French of Sidney, and Peggy Scott and husband Gary of Sidney; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Rickey Huddleston; parents, John Monroe and Hattie Ann Alford; six brothers and two sisters.

Service Details

Visitation will be from 1 until 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, at the Comanche Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, in the Sipe Springs Cemetery in Comanche County.
