Rickie D. Kennedy, 70, passed away on March 11, 2020 at his residence in Dublin, Texas. Rickie was born on November 13, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas to his parents Jimmie B. Butler (Evans) and Donald Keith Kennedy.
Rickie married his wife, Linda Kennedy, on November 8, 1971 and together they had three children. Rickie Kennedy served in the Marine Corp and National Guard during the Vietnam War and earned a purple heart for both the Marines and the National Guard. Rickie is proceeded in death by his parents, Jimmie B. Butler (Evans) and Donald Keith Kennedy, his sister, Linda Nadine Baugh, and his double nephew, Greg Baugh.
Rickie is survived by his wife, Linda Kennedy of Dublin, Texas, his son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Misty Kennedy of Comanche, Texas, his daughter and son-in-law Kristi and William Stevens of Dublin, Texas, his son, Jeff Kennedy of Dublin, Texas, his double niece and nephew, Lisa Roy and JJ Baugh, his grandchildren, Wade and Cheyenne, Alan Juarez, Elton and Alexis, Tytlan and Katlyn, Allan and Genevieve, his great-grandchildren, Gaven and Kanaan, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy Osborn and wife Ina of Splendora, Texas Marshall Butler and his wife Paula of Comanche, Texas, Nathan Butler and his wife Juanita of Belton, Texas, his sisters and brother-in-law, Cathy Ripley of Fort Worth, Texas, and Vicki Hall and her husband Dale of Fort Worth, Texas and a host of sister and brother-in-laws and family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on March 13, 2020 from 6-8 pm at the Harrell Funeral Home in Dublin, Texas.
Service will be held on March 14, 2020 at 2:00 at the Harrell Memorial Chapel in Dublin, Texas.
Interment will be at the Sardis Cemetery in Hasse, Texas.
