He was born December 26, 1924, at home in Chalk Mountain, Texas, and grew up the 14th of 15 children, to Viola Elizabeth (Surles) and William Hackley Anderson. Papa was well-known for helping. When something needed doing, he was the first to volunteer. When he retired he prayed to The Lord that he be allowed to help people.

He gave his life to Jesus and was baptized in Hico Baptist Church in 1956.
He became a deacon at Carlton Baptist Church in 1968.
He became a Mason in 1972 at Carlton Lodge #519.
He was a board member of Carlton I.S.D.

The memorial service and burial will be at a later date, as he donated his body to science hoping it might help further knowledge and aid in someone else’s health relief. This is another way for him to help people.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bobbi Jackson Anderson, his Parents and 14 brothers and sisters, and his two sons-in-law, James Thetford and Jerry Gilliland.

Wade was survived by his two daughters, Barbara Anderson Thetford from Carlton, Tx, and Betty Anderson Gilliland of Hico, Tx, and 3 grandsons Jamie Thetford, Ward Thetford, and Conan Gilliland, and one great-grandson, Jared Thetford. And many nieces and nephews.
He will be enjoying heaven and a visit with his heavenly savior, Jesus Christ.
