Stephenville – Betty Jean Butler passed peacefully on May 13, 2020 surrounded by family.
Betty was born in Big Spring, Texas on April 4, 1933 to Russell and Jean (Cavnar) Burke. She married Wayne Curtis he preceded her in death. She then married J.T. Butler and he preceded her in death.
Betty was a member of the Carlton Baptist Church. She was a big supporter of P.A.W.S. She was an accomplished artist and avid gardener.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Nelda (Bouquet) Moore of Stephenville, Texas; her step-daughter, Donna Royal of Hico, Texas; grandchildren, Mike Bouquet, Mark Bouquet, Matt Bouquet, Kristle Halbert (who was raised by Betty), Brodie Oswald, Teresa Herren, Stephen Moore, James Moore, and Tommy Moore; brother, Bob Burke; 21 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Burke Kight, and her brother Rusty Burke.
