Mary Jo Davis born October 5, 1924 in Oakwood, Texas to parents Maxie and Minnie (Keils) Jones, passed away June 11, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas at age 95. Known as Nanny to her family, Mary was retired after a thirty year career from Tarrant County Courthouse. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were Mary’s life. She loved playing bingo and bunco, her animals, and loved helping others.
Mary was preceded by her parents, and brothers Roy Jones and Bart Jones.
Surviving Mary are daughter Kathy Edwards and husband Don, son James Davis, grandchildren Courtney Gatewood and husband Richard, Brandon Davis, and Byron Davis and wife Kelly. Mary is also survived by great grandchildren Jake Gatewood, Shelby Gatewood, Luke Davis, and Ryland Davis, and step-daughter Joann Tucker.
Visitation 10 am until noon, Tuesday June 16, 2020 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Services 2 pm, Tuesday June 16, at Fairy Baptist Church followed by burial at Fairy Cemetery with Pastor Bob Ray officiating.
