Linda Rhodes Shubert, age 71, passed away peacefully at home with family June 16, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Friday, June 19, 2020 at Double N Cowboy Church in Dublin, Texas with Jimmy Holleman officiating. Burial will follow at Brad Cemetery in Palo Pinto County. Visitation will be 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Linda was born on August 21, 1948 in Stephenville, Texas to the late Clyde Rhodes and Bonnie Davis Rhodes. She was the oldest of six children. She married the love of her life, Ed (Lee) Shubert on February 24, 1968 in Stephenville. She worked at Saint Gobain for thirty plus years. She was a member of the Double N Cowboy Church in Dublin. Linda was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved reading her Bible and spending time with her family and with her faithful companion Toby (her dog).
Linda is survived by her husband, Ed Shubert of Dublin; daughter, Louise Beam and husband Don of Dublin; sons, David Shubert of Dublin, and Clyde Shubert and wife Jessica of Dublin; grandchildren, Jesse and Bethany Shubert, Jacob Shubert, Clint Williams, Crystal and Emilee Beam; sisters, Sandy Rhodes of Stephenville, Addie Rhodes Melton and husband Johnny of Stephenville, and Connie Ditto and husband Rick of Stephenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronnie and Randy Rhodes, and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Queen Shubert.
