Over the years, he worked diversely in oil fields, hair salons, and connected us together by bringing television and internet into our homes as the Plant Manager of Northland Communications. He was also a member of the Church of Christ.

Leon had an infectious laugh and a smile that could turn your day around. He loved spending his time golfing, hunting, and fishing, especially while in the company of good friends. Born with an artistic gift, he was a talented sculptor in a variety of mediums and brought many beautiful things into the world. He spent his life doing what he set his mind to and excelled at it. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Diane; daughter, Traci and husband Jack Pierce; son, Jimmy; sister, Denyse and husband Mike Turner; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many, many beloved pets.

Besides his parents, Leon was also preceded in death by his brother, Pat McCoy.
