MEMORIALS: If desired, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, at the Comanche Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Albin Cemetery, located on Highway 1476.

Dale Hoover Holmsley was born April 22 1932 to Larry and Edna(Hicks) Holmsley.

Dale attended Newburg and Comanche schools. He had a passion for baseball and softball.

He was married to Janice McCasland January 13,1953. To this union was born Linda, Peggy, and Rickey.

He is survived by his wife Janice of Comanche; daughter Peggy Montgomery of Goliad; son Rickey Holmsley(Melanie) of Comanche; grandchildren Krista Cahill (Kevin) of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, Mikki Clark (Randy) of Abilene, Becky Mobley (Kevin) of Kempner, Jeremy Holmsley (Julie) of Comanche, Trey Holmsley of Lubbock, McKenna Holmsley and Oz Holmsley of Comanche; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Erin of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, Camri of Abilene, and Sarah and Kevin Jr. of Kempner. He was also survived by his sister, Joyce Singleton of Comanche and brothers and sisters-in-law Carl and Joan Brewington of Roswell, New Mexico, Neil and Dee Brewington of Capitan, New Mexico and sister-in-law Syble Holmsley of Comanche. He was preceded in death by his parents Larry and Edna Holmsley, daughter Linda Blackmon, brother Bill Holmsley and nephew Billy Holmsley.
