Drones are becoming more accessible and used in a variety of ways and businesses. Now, thanks to grant funding, Ranger College is offering free drone courses.
During the course, student will learn the basics of drone operation, and cover the FAA 107 regulations for the industry.
Those who complete the course will receive a certificate, 2.5 continuing education units, but will need to take the final 107 test to obtain official licensing 60 days after completing the course.
According to Ranger’s website, the course is free for individuals who have been affected by COVID-19 through a grant with the Texas Workforce Commission. The regular cost of the course is $1,150. That covers all aspects of the course including the cost of the final 107 FAA test to obtain the proper drone licensing.
