Joe Louis Israel, Jr., 76, of Stephenville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 7, 2020 in Clinton, Arkansas. He will be awaiting in Heaven for the reunion with friends and family on the Streets of Gold
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel, with Mark Butcher officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery. The Israel family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
We are here to celebrate the life of Joe Louis Israel, Jr. He was born to Joe and Ruth Tally Israel in Blum,Texas on October 26, 1943. Joe married his high school sweetheart, Linda Messina. God blessed them with 58 years of marriage. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and father of three precious girls that he dearly loved. Joe was dedicated to the community, and was a proud owner of Israel Roofing.
Joe is survived by wife, Linda; daughters Cyndie Sanders and husband Rick, Debbie Sulkowski and husband Chuck, and Stacey Joelle Rangel and husband Jose; grandchildren, Tim, Heather, Lindsey, Micah, Melanie, Johnathon, Matthew, and MaKayla; and 13 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are siblings, Carl Israel, Brenda Whites, Kathi Thompson, and Lanny Israel.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruth Israel; sister, Tammy Sue Wilson; and in-laws Joe and Imogene Messina.
The Israel family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240 in Stephenville.
