David Reeves, 82, of Waco, Tx, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2020, in Waco, Texas.
He was born on November 3, 1937, in Odessa, TX to Clem A. and Mary F. Weeks Reeves. David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles A. Reeves, and James “Jim” A. Reeves, son, Randy Reeves, granddaughter, Carissa Jackson, and niece, Bridgette Reeves.
David was member of Local 529 for 57 years as a pipefitter/welder. He worked all over the United States on missile bases, refineries, and computer chip plants.
He married Katherine Ditto on July 4, 2000, and continued to refer to her as his bride. They enjoyed RVing, dining out, and spending time with family and close friends. They enjoyed watching the grandchildren’s rodeos, baseball games, and school functions.
David loved to encourage kids and was involved in baseball, football, and softball during his children’s early years. He coached many little league games and loved to tell the stories. Later in retirement years, his love of baseball was passed on to his grandchildren. He also loved drinking coffee and talking about life but especially politics. He passionately sparred with anyone that wanted to discuss politics and was a big supporter of Texas A&M. He loved his family immensely and worked hard to provide for them.
David attended Central United Methodist Church in Waco and enjoyed the friendships during the Tuesday breakfast with the churchmen.
He was such a faithful husband, father, and friend, always trustworthy and full of life until the very end. He fought his battle with a cheerful attitude and with all of his strength.
