STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton’s first Midnight Madness as a Division I program will be held a week from today and ticket information is now available.

Midnight Madness will take place on Wednesday, October 28 in Wisdom Gym with the doors opening at 10:30 p.m. A live DJ will entertain the crowd until the program begins at 11:45 p.m. All attendees should enter through the front doors of Wisdom Gym.

The Tarleton Athletic Staff has put together a COVID-19 action plan to keep our student-athletes, students, staff and season ticket holders safe at Midnight Madness. Capacity inside Wisdom Gym is limited to a maximum of 50 percent, per Governor Abbott’s Executive Order No. GA-28. All students, staff and personnel inside Wisdom Gym must wear a face covering over the nose and mouth at all times, per Governor Abbott’s Executive Order No. GA-29. Face coverings will be provided, at no cost, to fans as they enter and sanitizing stations will be placed throughout Wisdom Gym.

Students are required to pick up a ticket in advance at the Wisdom Gym Ticket Office. Tickets are free and available on a first come, first serve basis for students until the maximum capacity is reached. Midnight Madness tickets can be picked up on Tuesday, Oct. 27 and Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Wisdom Gym ticket office. Each Tarleton student will receive one ticket to Midnight Madness.  Students must present a valid Texan Card at the ticket office.

Season ticket holders and Texan Club members can email Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs Casey Hogan at hogan@tarleton.edu to claim their tickets.

All students, fans and spirit groups must stay in the stands and cannot be on the court at any time. Only the participants of Tarleton’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will be permitted on the playing court during Midnight Madness.

There will be plenty of chances for prizes and fan reward points throughout the evening as we celebrate the beginning of the 2020-21 basketball season. In order to be eligible for the contests, fans must download and be logged into the Tarleton Sports Fan Rewards Program. The app can be downloaded in the Apple and Google Play Store. Two fans will win $1,000 in cash prizes and all attendees will have a chance to win up to 10,000 Fan Rewards Points and other prizes including a flat screen TV. 250 Free T-Shirts will also be given out during the event. Midnight Madness will be a 500-point max event in the Tarleton Sports Fan Rewards Program.

Following the festivities, the Tarleton men’s and women’s basketball teams will take the court after the clock strikes midnight to signify the beginning of the NCAA College Basketball season. Both teams will have a special introduction to their rosters before each team performs.

The NCAA announced the earliest official start day for men’s and women’s basketball can take place on Nov. 25, 2020. Both Tarleton basketball programs are finalizing their 2020-21 schedules and they will be announced in the coming days.
