Malissa Christene Shoemaker, born August 30, 1949 to parents Malcolm and Malissa (Ramsey) Trotter, passed away in Hamilton, Texas on November 25, 2020. Malissa was known by family and friends as “Chris”. She enjoyed her family, friends and her pets. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, especially seeing the grandkids smiles, and playing music with her family. Chris was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a graduate of Iredell High School, and worked in many nursing homes over several years before going to work at Saint Goban, and then retiring after ten years.
Preceding Chris in death were her parents and first husband Finas O. Musick.
Surviving Chris are husband Thomas Shoemaker, sister Gay Taylor and husband Scott, sons, Terry Musick and wife Minnie, Mark Musick and wife Melanie, and daughter Crystal Brewer and husband James. Also surviving Chris are 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation 10am to 12:30pm Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Graveside Services 2pm Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Mitchell Cemetery, Iredell, Texas.
