Stephenville opened District 4-A play with a 2-0 victory over Mineral Wells as the Honeybees improved to 7-2-2 on the year, but more importantly 1-0 in league play.
Jumping out front early is always good and with weather wreaking havoc on the District 4-A soccer schedule this year the schools won’t be making up missed district games.
Coach Casey Weil and the Honeybees won’t be looking past their Friday road game against Graham, but for soccer fans it’s hard not to circle Tuesday March 3 when Stephenville hosts Brownwood.
The Lady Lions have also established a decent record with a 7-4 mark and they also opened district play with a 7-0 drubbing of Graham on the Lady Blues’ home turf.
