Don Wesley Wilburn

Don Wesley Wilburn passed away on May 16, 2021 at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue, and survived by his children, Gina (JD Leeds) and Gary; his grandchildren Brenna Leeds, Lucas Leeds, Aubrey Wilburn, and Ian Wilburn. Don was born to Tollie and Betty Wilburn on January 4, 1938 in Wichita Falls, TX. After graduating from Electra Senior High School, he joined the US Navy and proudly served his country for four years. Don and Sue married in 1965 and moved to Midlothian, TX where they resided for nearly 50 years. He was a member of the Jaycees who helped to build Jaycee Park and retired from General Motors after 40 years of service. Don implored his children to always keep a job, wear belts with their pants and to never leave the house wearing dirty shoes. He was a loyal fan of the Midlothian Panthers, Texas Longhorns, and Dallas Cowboys. The Midlothian Fire Fighters were an invaluable resource to Don and Sue in their later years.
