April 8, 1941 ~ May 19, 2021 (age 80)
Patricia “Pat” Lee McDonald Ramsey died peacefully May 19, 2021 at the family home in Stephenville, Texas. She was 80 years old. Services for Patricia “Pat” will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russel Bare officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 21, 2021, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Pat was born April 8, 1941 in Maud, Texas to the late James Augustus McDonald, Jr. and Frankie Vernice (Higginbotham) McDonald. She attended public school in Seminole, Texas and was enrolled to go to college, but her plans changed when a stranger moved to town in April of 1959. He enrolled in Seminole High School and the first day he attended school he stepped on her foot as he entered the classroom, she returned the favor, and the only empty desk in the classroom happened to be just behind her desk. They fell in love and she married Jack Ramsey on September 19, 1959 in Seminole, Texas. She and Jack made their home in Kingsville, Texas, Seminole, Texas, Kelsey Bass, Texas, Refugio, Texas, Singapore, Houston, Texas, and Stephenville, Texas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to play Bridge and she was a proud Life Master. She played all over the world and I’m sure will find a willing Bridge partner in heaven. She was a loving, supportive mother to 4 children, Jay who passed away in 1982, Lisa Ramsey, of Fort Worth, Sheri Ramsey, of Stephenville, and Mike Ramsey, of Fulton. She is survived by her husband, Jack, 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Clayton Roberts and his staff, Solaris Hospice and their staff, and a special thank you to Solaris Aid, Nora Scitern, Nurses Emily Bible and Haylee Dowell for their loving care of Patricia. They kept her comfortable and she loved them all.
She is a very nice lady.
