Morgan Mill – A Memorial service for Arthur William Hyer, 79, retired business owner, truck driver, diesel mechanic, and jack of all trades will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the Morgan Mill Baptist Church with Brother Joe Rogers officiating.

Art was born in Raton, New Mexico on May 12, 1942 to John and Zelma “Sally” Hyer. He married Linda Sue Johnson on January 22, 1963. He married Reba Ann (Preston) on August 13, 1994 in Amarillo, Texas.

Art was a Christian and had a strong faith in the Lord. He loved his family and his little piece of heaven on Earth in Morgan Mill with his wife and youngest son. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his joy and delight. He loved keeping their place in the country in pristine condition, yard and pastures mowed, roses and trumpet vines everywhere, a huge vegetable garden in the summer, and a beautiful variety of trees growing everywhere. He embraced every single day, walked miles around the pasture for exercise daily, worked hard to make sure everything was done and everyone he could bless was blessed. He spent his younger years traveling all over the United States driving his truck and working hard to make a good life for his family. He was loved and respected by so many people. His love and influence helped shape his kids and grandkids into who they are today. He will be watching over his friends, family, neighbors, and loved ones and cheering them on from heaven.

Art is survived by his wife of 27 years, Reba Ann Hyer; children, Mike and Lindy Hyer, Debbie and Tedd Johnson, Kelly and Scott Thomas, Brandon Hyer, Tricia and Arran Spoede, and T.J. and Dana Jeffcoat; grandchildren, Makayla, Rily and Sydni Hyer, Trey and BB Pearcy, Trenton and Carly Pearcy, Court and Carrie Lane, Chisum Lane, Caitlin and John Williams; Ashley and John Taylor, Alli Spoede, A.J. Spoede, Tanner, Tacey, Jaylie and Dakota Jeffcoat, and Dayton Yarbrough; great great grandchildren, Joplin and Jenning Pearcy, Trotter and Briggs Pearcy, Annie Lane, Ronin Williams, and Braxton Holguin; special niece, Chelle and Timothy Tillman, their children, Katelin and  Zachary Holland (and their baby Ollie), Jackson, Cooper, and Samuel.

Art would want us all to love one another, give grace to one another, and to pay forward a blessing any chance we get.
