Jimmy George Johnson, 82, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2021. He was born on October 12, 1938 in Purves, Texas to his parents Jewel (Bristow) and Claude William Johnson. Jimmy earned his associates degree and began working at the Dublin National Bank in the accounting department for over thirty years. He later retired from Higgenbothom Funeral Home of Texas as a bookkeeper. He married his wife, Welda (Akin) Johnson June 6, 1960 and together they had two children, Judy and Randy Johnson. Jimmy was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Dublin, Texas.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Welda Johnson on April 5, 2021.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Judy and Brian Grimsley of Cedar Park, Texas, son Randy Johnson of Dallas, Texas, granddaughters Lauren Taylor of San Antonio, Texas, and Rylee Johnson of Melissa, Texas, grandsons Zachary Taylor of Cedar Park, Texas, Ryan Johnson of Bullard, Texas, Alex Grimsley and Taylor Grimsley of Austin, Texas, his sister Jean Dines of Kingsland, Texas, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Glenna and JW Davis of Dublin, Texas and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
