Gary Dwain Scott, age 81, passed away at his home in Sidney, Texas on Saturday, July 24, 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Huddleston Scott; sisters, Faye Nell Beckham of Weatherford and Ruth Ann Pardon of Burkburnett. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Bozie Washington Scott and Iva Jewel Fields Scott and siblings, Joe and Colleen Scott of Brownwood, Joy Caffey and Geretha Cawthorne of Comanche. Gary had six surviving children, Dwain and Kay Scott of Brownwood, Gary and Lou Underwood of Comanche, Pam Hill of Marble Falls, Aletha and Dale Patterson of Comanche, Labin and Brenda Kay Scott of Sidney, and Brick and Shannon Scott of Blum. He was blessed with thirteen grandchildren whom he dearly loved and dearly loved to play jokes on. He had a large family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Gary and Peggy married on July 21, 1970, and just celebrated fifty-one years. They were married in Comanche and reside in Sidney. Gary and Peggy are long time members of Sidney Church of Christ. He was a professional concrete finisher along with his brother, Joe, and son, Dwain. He later entered into the Dairy business in Sidney, where he later retired at his home, and he enjoyed working part time with local ranchers to look after their farms. Gary was known for his ability to spin great stories and his quick wit and practical joking.
