Cecil Hayden Rasberry, 75, of Morgan Mill, died on Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Morgan Mill.

Cecil was born on August 18, 1945, in Morgan Mill to the late Andrew Wade and Eva Lois Harris Rasberry.  He married Donna Elizabeth Gabhart on October 6, 1967 in Lingleville.  Donna preceded him in death on June 21, 2017.  Cecil attended school in Morgan Mill & Huckabay, and graduated from Huckabay High School, class of 1963.  He served his country in the U. S. Army.  Cecil was a rancher, and spent 25 years at CEE Bar Ranch.  He was a member of the Community Center Coffee Club, the Morgan Mill Baptist Church, and a member of the Morgan Mill Volunteer Fire Department.  Cecil was a lifelong resident of Morgan Mill.

He knew all of the old home places and loved confusing any newcomers with his lack of good current directions. If someone didn’t know him, they would shortly and there was always a good story about where they moved into. Many of the stories he told were thought to be tall tales; if you verify with close friends and family you will be left in awe! Let’s not incriminate anyone… Most knew him either by his Polaris Ranger or his blue pickup, in later days it was his red scooter. The presence of all 3 will be greatly missed.

A special thank you to all everyone who took the time to entertain, listen, look out for, check on, and love Cecil. There are no words to express our gratitude.

Survivors include his children, Chad Hayden and wife Heather Rasberry & grandson Charlie Rasberry of Dublin, Texas and Angela and husband Geoffrey Bailey & grandson Jakob Rasberry (of Morgan Mill), granddaughter Ireland Bailey, and grandson Eion Bailey of College Station, Texas; brothers, Richard Rasberry of Oracle, Arizona, and Travis Rasberry of Hook, Texas; sister, LaVerne Stewart of Stephenville.

A memorial service/celebration of life for Cecil will be held at the Morgan Mill Community Center, Saturday, August 7th, 2-5 pm. All are welcome to attend

The American flag will be presented in honor of his military service.
