Services for Kyle James Fornes, 59, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 13, 2021, at Cottonwood Baptist Church in Dublin with Rev. Mike Fritscher officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Abilene at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, September 13, 2021. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Lacy Funeral Home in Stephenville, Texas.
Kyle was born in Abilene, Texas on February 24, 1962, to Charles and Janey Charlene Fornes. He married Natilee Miller on April 25, 2014, in Glen Rose, Texas.
Kyle was a member of the Daugherty Church of Christ in Eastland, Texas. He worked for Eastland ISD in the maintenance department, and he was also a bus driver for Eastland ISD. He loved watching high school and college football games, and he would make it to as many play-off games as he could attend. He also loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Natilee Fornes, of Eastland, Texas; children, Karah Lasater, and husband, Tie, of Keller, Texas, Jordan Fornes, and wife, Megan, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Hannah Fornes, and husband, Tyler Antos, of Keller, Texas, and step daughter, Randi McPhate, of Granbury, Texas; his mother, Charlene Boucher, of Stephenville, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Keagan Lasater, of Keller, Texas, Londyn Lasater, of Keller, Texas, Gemmah Lasater, of Keller, Texas, Collins Antos, of Keller, Texas, Skyler Fornes, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Konnor McPhate, of Granbury, Texas, Emory McPhate, of Granbury, Texas; brother, Kobe Fornes, of Lake Leon, Texas; and 3 nephews, Kason Fornes, of Stephenville, Texas, Keller Fornes, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Keaton Fornes, of Lake Leon, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Charles “Buddy” Fornes.
