The Lone Star Firework Festival will be this Saturday, October 16, from 4 until 10 p.m. with the fireworks show itself beginning around 7:15 and you definitely don’t want to miss it.

Chris Stasey said he hopes this is the first of an annual event that will continue to grow and benefit the wonderful folks at Fosters Home in Stephenville for years to come. He said the decision to create such a cool, family-friendly fundraiser for Fosters was one his whole family made together.

“This whole thing started as a club event, but my uncle asked they donate the money to a local charity,” Stasey recalled. “When the club didn’t want to continue the event after the first few years, we, as a family, decided to continue the fireworks show and open it up to the public to raise even more for Fosters Home.”

In it’s first year, the Lone Star Fireworks Festival is shaping up to be a huge show with more than 10 independent fireworks companies from not only across the state of Texas, but even some from Oklahoma and Arkansas have agreed to come to Erath County and help with the show. Stasey said this will allow for the festival to feature seven different professional displays which will each average 6-10 minutes in length. He said the pyromusicals (which are displays set to music) will be put on by different volunteers from the different companies and, in addition, there will also be a drone show and a large shell demonstration.

But fireworks isn’t the only fun at the festival, there will also be live music with Baileigh Rhodes (5 p.m.) and Ryan Anderton (6 p.m.) that you don’t want to miss out on. There will be concessions available thanks to various food trucks on site. But you can also bring your own cooler with food and drinks, if you’d rather. Stasey said his family simply asks no one bring in any glass bottles or alcohol as this is a family-friendly event.

The festival will be held at Stasey Field on the B Bar S Ranch, located at 4137 County Road 196, Bluff Dale, 76433. Gates will open at 4 p.m. and attendees can come spend the afternoon enjoying the festivities.

Ticket prices are per carload and online are $25 and will be $30 at the gate, $15 for individuals. Learn more on www.lonestarfireworksfestival.com or visit www.eventbrite.com/e/162995557099 to purchase tickets.

“These are not your typical backyard or municipal fireworks displays. With all the choreography and special effects, this is a one-of-a-kind event that you don’t want to miss out on!”
