The Stephenville Honeybees (27-10, 7-0) are officially District Champions. The Bees, who are undefeated in district, secured the title Friday night with a quick three set victory (25-17, 25-18, 25-14) over the Lampasas Lady Badgers (12-27, 0-8).

Stephenville has one more district match on Tuesday, October 26, at home against the Gatesville Lady Hornets (22-8, 4-3) at 6 p.m. in Gandy Gym. However, the Lady Hornets, who are currently in third place in district play, would not overtake the Bees, even with a win on Friday. The Glen Rose Lady Tigers (22-13, 4-3) are currently in second place in District 6, 4A and face Brownwood on Tuesday and also would not pass SHS with a win.

Gatesville comes into the match with Stephenville off a loss to Glen Rose last Friday in three sets. And as it is now, Stephenville, Glen Rose, Gatesville and Brownwood will be headed to the playoffs.
