Robert Ray Goodman, 88, of Stephenville, died at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Robert was born on June 17, 1933, in Erath County, to the late William Joseph and Hattie Adell Williams Goodman.  He married Delores Phillips on June 1, 1954 in Monroe County, Tennessee.  Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He was a member of Morgan Mill Baptist Church, a volunteer firefighter for many years, was a member of the Studebaker Club and spent most of his life in Erath County.

Robert was a production management specialist, responsible for coordinating field operation F-16 flights with Lockheed Martin and Air Force flight operations and all other activities of the production radio room. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 44 years of service. Robert was very active in his church and always willing to help others whenever needed.  He loved spending time with his family, loved to sing, garden, go fishing and restore classic cars.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Delores; daughters, Pat and husband Charles Parnell of Tuscola, Sonja and David Stockton of Stephenville, Sheila McMahan of Stephenville, and Delana Haggard of Stephenville; brother, Ed and Janette Goodman of Stephenville; sisters, Sue and Russell Bantau of Argyle, and Ann and Ron Anderson of Waterloo, Iowa, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m at Stephenville Funeral Home. Graveside service, officiated by Bro. Joe Rogers, will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at West End Cemetery in Stephenville.
